Manufacturing
Emmanuelle Khanh promotes French expertise by renewing, year after year, its collaboration with eyewear workshops in the Jura region, specialized in handmade acetate frames for generations. By encouraging this unique craftsmanship, the House opts for conscious, sustainable, and environmentally friendly manufacturing. For its accessories, Emmanuelle Khanh chooses local production in Germany, Italy, and France.
Les verres protègent-ils des UV ?
All Emmanuelle Khanh glasses have lenses that provide 100% protection against UVA and UVB. The color of the lenses does not affect this protection.
The color of the lenses, however, provides different protection against brightness and only impacts comfort. Solid lenses, category 3, offer greater visual comfort in strong light conditions. Gradient lenses, on the other hand, have the darker part in category 3 and the lighter part in category 2, which allows for optimal comfort for reading or driving. Light colored lenses, category 2 or category 1, offer less protection against brightness (but provide 100% protection against UVA and UVB) but are ideal for a Parisian sky, for example.
Maintenance
Emmanuelle Khanh glasses are handmade from carefully selected materials. To ensure they last as long as possible, store them in their case when you are not wearing them. To clean them, we recommend rinsing them under a stream of lukewarm water using soap and your fingers, then drying them thoroughly with the soft cloth provided with your glasses.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or paper wipes, which can scratch the lenses and acetate. Always spray your glasses cleaner onto the soft cloth and not directly onto the frame, to avoid excess product on the edges and metal parts.
Repair
If your glasses are damaged, it is recommended to have them repaired by an optician or an optical professional. Avoid trying to repair your glasses yourself, as this can lead to further damage.
You can locate a partner optician by using the our stores page.
What is an eyeglass prescription and how do you get one?
A glasses prescription is a document issued by an ophthalmologist that indicates the necessary vision correction for each eye. To obtain a glasses prescription, you must make an appointment with an ophthalmologist for an eye exam.
How to choose the right eyeglasses?
Choosing the right eyeglasses depends on several factors, including your prescription, face shape, and personal style. It is recommended to consult an optician who can help you choose glasses that meet your needs.
How long does it take to adjust to new glasses?
It generally takes a few days to adjust to new glasses, although this can vary from person to person. If you have trouble adjusting or if your glasses feel uncomfortable, it is recommended to consult your optician.
